Many sites let you enter any text as a tag, but Zholink does not.  Why?  Zholink believes that tags should have specific meaning, rather than just be a word.  The many tags that are available are actually Wikipedia topics.  Wikipedia topics are used as the authority for naming tags and giving them meaning on Zholink.  The reason is that some vague words can have multiple meanings and that isn't very helpful when you want to find links for a specific topic and it has a generic word or the word is used in many names.

This isn't a perfect system.  There are drawbacks.  There are some topics that Wikipedia just doesn't cover or have articles for yet.  Some terms are featured in the names of many Wikipedia articles but aren't covered specifically as a topic.  For example, where are specific Wikipedia article names about success or tips for success?

Sometime in the future, Zholink will provide an additional set of curated tags for topics that aren't covered by Wikipedia.  In addition, Zholink will provide you the ability to add links to your own personally named groups to help you organize links the way you want even if they don't fit into specific tags.
